My son's first experience driving was in my manual transmission 2002 Tacoma on remote mountain roads. I started him out on our very steep driveway, challenging him to learn how to drive in "Hard Mode". He has loved it ever since! So when I decided that I needed to say goodbye to the Beach House, I had to figure out how to get the solar and upgraded battery system that I put into it back from Oregon. I didn't really want to drive the Beach House from Oregon t0 Colorado at 9 mpg and as he has his learners permit and is VERY interested in off-roading, we decided to take the LOOOOOOONG route on Blue Highways and dirt and rocky backroads across Colorado, Idaho and Oregon. The below pictures are from North/Northwest Colorado in Roosevelt & Routt National Forest.
(I included Amazon Associate/Affiliate links to inspirational/informational books that have influenced me in general and, specifically, this trip. It was mostly an exercise in curiosity on how to set these things up, but if you do buy these books, I get . . . something.)
